Professional Indemnity Insurance

Members of the Reiki Association can take advantage of the generous discount offered by Balens Specialist Insurance Brokers to our members. You will need to be a current member and quote your membership number to obtain this discount.

Insurance can be provided for Reiki only, or can include other therapies, and can cover most risks associated with working privately or running a practice. These might include working at premises other than your home or clinic, or the equipment you use in giving treatments.

Depending on the level of cover you opt for, discounts range from around 35-37% for multi therapy insurance to between 48-53% for Reiki only.

Some overseas members of The Reiki Association, or UK members practicising overseas, can also receive a reduction for Balens Insurance.

Renewals for TRA members under the Balens Affinity insurance scheme are due with effect from 1st July 2022.

Balens appreciate this is a very difficult time for practitioners and businesses and we are all having to make decisions based on the current climate. There will be multiple options detailed on the renewal forms sent out. These include:

• The option to lapse cover if the member is not currently practicing. The cover can then be re-started once the restrictions have been lifted at the request of the member.

• Balens are offering the option of interest free direct debit for those who wish to keep cover in place but have concerns about paying the premium in one lump sum.
