Application for Verification by The Reiki Association

An increasing range of bodies, such as employers and insurers, are using CNHC registration and the CNHC quality mark as an independent validation of standards. As general awareness grows we may find that the public shows a preference for choosing treatments by Reiki practitioners who are CNHC registered. All Reiki practitioners who are CNHC registered are clearly identified in our Reiki Directory on this website.

 

The Reiki Association is one of the verifying organisations who will ensure that practitioners who are to be registered meet the required standards and can assist you through the process. Our verifiers are all experienced Masters who will support and mentor candidates through the verification process if they experience any difficulty. This is a service available to anyone with Reiki, but admin fees are discounted for TRA members. At present The Reiki Association verifies individual practitioners. We are also working on the verification of courses, so that any applicant who has successfully completed a verified course recognised by TRA will automatically be fast-tracked for inclusion on the CNHC register. If you are considering applying please note the following pre-requisites for application:

• You will need to have completed Reiki level 1 and 2 courses (not necessarily in Usui Shiki Ryoho).
• You will need to have received your Reiki initiations through in-person Reiki initiation/attunement (N.B. Reiju is not classed as an initiation/attunement).
• Holy Fire Reiki and Angelic Reiki, or any other form of group attunement are not recognised for the purpose of verification.
• You will need have a genuine lineage that begins with the founder of Reiki, Mikao Usui.
• You will need to have received a minimum of 100 Reiki treatments, either self-treatment, treatments from others or a combination of both.
• You will need to complete the 'Practitioner' questionaire. You need to have given 75 Reiki treatments to others, of which we need evidenced case studies for 10 clients who have received three treatments or more from you.

Please provide details when you submit your paperwork. We also suggest you make yourself aware of the National Occupational Standards (NOS) as they relate to the practice of Reiki.

1. Download and complete a 'Request to Register' MS Word form or PDF form and return it to the address given on the form. There is an application fee of £60 if not a TRA member, and £45 if you are a TRA member. If paying the fee by cheque please make out to The Reiki Association and include this with the form. Otherwise you can pay the fee online by debit or credit card using the PayPal button below, in which case please include a note you have paid online when you send in the form.

2. You will be sent full information about what is required for your verification.
3. After collating the necessary information you will then need to submit the documentation for assessment to the verifier you have been assigned, together with the verification fee of £75.
4. You will be informed of the outcome of the assessment and if approved your details will be forwarded to CNHC for inclusion on the register.
5. You will be contacted by CNHC with an invitation to join the register on payment of the registration fee (£70.00) to CNHC, and once you have paid this, will then be included on the CNHC Reiki Register
