Day of Women www.dayofwomen.org is a newly formed social enterprise which provides life changing retreats and coaching programmes for women recovering from depression, addiction, abuse, divorce, stress burn out, serious health conditions and other “dark nights of the soul”.
Using coaching, meditation, and complementary therapy, as well as other innovative and creative approaches to transformation, our programmes help women significantly develop their confidence, well-being, inspiration and empowerment while transforming their lives. Many of our women will not only go on to make significant improvements in their own lives, but also to their communities and the world around them. JK Rowling and Oprah Winfrey, both of whom have known their own very dark times, are examples of our role models. We are talking to a number of inspiring and high profile workshop facilitators, with proven track records, about leading a workshop session at one or more of our retreat weekends. We are also looking to build a team of experienced complementary therapists of all kinds too to offer treatments at our retreats. This is where your community fit into the picture. This offer may be right for some of your community if they would like to: • Attract new clients to their work • Raise their profile • Benefit from being featured in our communication • Spend time in a retreat setting • Benefit from having event organisation taken care of for them • Generate income through shared ticket sales • Associate with some of THE names in the personal development world It would be right for your some of your community even further if they: • Wish to support a worthwhile cause: women recovering from difficult times and to help them to really turn their lives around • Work in an area which is close to their own heart • Can identify with and relate to (some of) the challenges our clients face • Are an experienced therapist and enjoy working as part of a team In order to offer treatments at our retreat weekends, they will need to be experienced, practising therapists who are well connected. Treatments will be available to participants during the times when workshops are not running: Your community would be offered up to 6 hours over two days and more if they opt to arrive and offer treatments on the Friday. They will be paid at the rate of £30 to £35 per treatment for each treatment offered and may opt to join the retreat weekend themselves and participate fully in the programme at cost price (exact price tbc). Alternatively, they may prefer to simply offer treatments: it’s up to them. The way we are setting this up is for those who have appropriate credentials to join us by enrolling two (or more) clients into one of our retreats. Not only will this bring your community referral opportunities, but they will receive 50% of the net profit for each participant they bring. (We also have a similar offer for 121 coaches and counselors too) Where and when? Our first retreat is November 9/10/11 at Latimer Place in Chesham and our next one is planned for March 8/9/10 in either Eynsham Hall Oxfordshire or Latimer Place in Chesham We would be grateful if you can forward this information on. Anyone who would like to join us is invited to contact me, Karen Skehel at karen@dayofwomen.org
