Hi Jo Ann
Welcome to TRA.
I am based in London. For some things that you would like to see eg after care notes you might like to visit the Reiki Council website on http://www.reikicouncil.org.uk/ This is the body working on regulating the public practice of Reiki and TRA is part of the process.

Hello everyone! I am new to the association and hope to find it a great support both in my practice and my ongoing training. However, I do, like the thread poster feel this website is unbelievable quiet. Is this because the old site still exists? before me the last person posted over a month ago - before that three months!
I would love to see threads on:
How much do you charge?
Free reiki
Views on reiki qualifications in a day
New sensations people have had when practising.
A thread where new members introduce themselves and existing ones say hi!
and lots more..

I would also love to see more resources such as sample client record sheets with this logo on, after-care notes, printable certificates of membership ion the members only area and much more. I know I am still exploring the site, and getting to know it, but I joined expecting a lot more on-line in the members area.

Dear Tracey

I agree whole heartedly with Milly about our Reiki community has bee a source of love and support for many years. We love to bring people together so they can actually meet. I do try to encourage people to use the site but I thinkit is all about getting people started. I am sure there are lots of topics which can be discussed so I will try and visit the forum more often and share what members are asking me about.

Thank you for drawing our attention to this.

To All Members: Why not share your Profile with other members. This is a great way to learn a little about each others Reiki background and to start conversations from. Simply go to Settings and then Privacy Options. You can choose how public you wish to be. Lets not miss the opportunities that our Members site is offering us to network with each other.

All skills within TRA membership are gratefully received! Website work, networking, design, publicity, all areas where it would be good to have extra hands to back up our hard working teams.
Why not make your Profile public by going to Settings and then Privacy options. Its a good place to start to get to know people and their Reiki background
Keep in touch and maybe see you at Gathering??

Hello Milly

Many thanks for taking the time to get in touch with me regarding my comments about our web site, I really do appreciate your kind words.

When I first joined up and looked through the site it was my initial and knee jerk reaction that made me pass an opinion, however, I do believe that it is early days for the new site and I am certain that when the transitional period is over the site will be buzzing again and I hope to participate on a regular basis
Once again, thank you for getting in touch with me and if there is anything I can do to help out then please do ask and I will do all I can
Best Wishes, Tracy

Hi Tracy...well spotted. It is our new site and thanks to our webmaster and a few volunteers to bring it to fruition. Its now up to us all to encourage Members to use it as a networking tool also. The original site still at www.reikiassociation.org.uk is still live and we are still in a transition period. Why not come to the annual Gathering in April and meet others new and old. Its a brilliant way to get a sense of community and also this year a rare opportunity to meet with Phyllis Furumoto,.

We need more teccy members to get our non teccy members onboard with website. The benefits of membership...go to www.reikiassociation.org.uk/8.html for a summing up, but theres so much more from the perspective of meeting others who share an interest in reiki.

For myself, this community has nourished me and supported my Reiki journey for 21 years. Reiki communities I have met along the years often seem rather uneventful and inactive on the outside. We all share the practice of reiki and the journey is sometimes personal and private and at other times joyful ,rich and fun as we meet together in Reiki. We share our stories, meet at Reiki sharing groups and Gatherings, to make deeper connections.

I understand your feelings and i truly hope you will keep in touch, find ways of connection with others and come and share Reiki one day , Best wishes, Milly Cain

Hi I am new to TRA today, i must say there is not much on the site it is very quiet, i thought it would be buzzing with conversations and peoples experiences with Reiki. There doesnt seem to be much information on the site either ??? Is this a new site? Very Dissapointed :( Can anyone tell me what we get from our membership, i'm sorry to say i feel i have wasted money on becoming a member.

I hope it gets better :)
