DescriptionFor those drawn to using Reiki with companion animal bereavement. When a cherished pet dies people feel racked by grief and loss. The pain can often feel overwhelming, and trigger all sorts of painful and difficult emotions. Some people may not understand the depth of feeling for a pet, leading to feelings of guilt or being ashamed about grieving for an animal friend. Some people assume that pet loss shouldn’t hurt as much as human loss, or that it is somehow inappropriate to grieve for an animal. They may not understand because they don’t have a pet of their own or are unable to appreciate the companionship and love that a pet can provide.
