Course Evaluation and Professional Reiki Practitioner Training Approval
We are pleased to announce that the Reiki Association, in partnership with the national Reiki Council and CNHC, has officially launched the approval process for Professional Reiki Practitioner training courses.
Professional Reiki Practitioner Training Course Approval
Reiki Masters now have the opportunity to obtain Professional Practitioner Training Course Approval, enabling them to verify their own students. Once the names of successful students are forwarded to us, we will ensure their assessment portfolios are checked and fast-tracked to CNHC. Additionally, the national Reiki Council will offer its logo and a certificate for approved courses. Listings on the Reiki Council website will be free for one year. After this period, teachers will be invited to renew their listing if they choose.
Why Apply?
The Reiki Association is recognised as a Professional Association and Verifying Body by the CNHC, an accredited register. Successful applicants who wish to register will be listed on their website as approved course providers. Any Reiki teacher, regardless of organisational affiliation (or lack thereof), can apply. However, the teacher/course provider must have successfully completed the Reiki Council / CNHC Verified Practitioner process themselves and hold a Reiki Council Verified Practitioner Certificate.
Course Requirements
To apply for course approval, the provider must ensure that the course complies with the National Occupational Standards for Reiki and follows the CNHC Core Curriculum.
Encouraging Professional Training
We strongly encourage Masters to offer professional training courses to deepen their connection with students. These courses prepare students to work safely with the public and offer a valuable training step for those not yet ready to progress to Mastership. The courses follow the CNHC approved Core Curriculum, as agreed upon by the ten member organisations of the national Reiki Council, and are open to Reiki Level Two students and above. The Reiki Association (TRA) honours all styles of Reiki, meaning there is no assessment of how Level One and Level Two courses are taught.
